Meet the Maker

Like many creators, I found myself twiddling my thumbs and out of TV shows to watch mid-pandemic. Upon scrolling through my personal Instagram I saw a pair of earrings and I thought to myself "I LOVE those, but how could I make them in my style?" and by happenstance By Hand & By Heart was born.

I create jewelry utilizing resin and botanicals, polymer clay, wood, beads, and metal in the heart of my home. I gather my inspiration from my lived experiences - from cups of coffee with my grandma, Nebraska sunsets, the memory of loved ones lost, and my deep appreciation for color and flowers. From mixing custom colors, to cutting, pouring, sanding, drilling, assembling, marketing, packaging, and shipping - every aspect of these pieces is truly made by hand and by me! Each piece is truly well-loved and cared for.

It's my goal for my pieces to be able to be dressed up or dressed down. To be able to fit into any space seamlessly and feel "just right". I type this as I look around my living room, knick-knacks scattered on the shelf but knowing they just "belong" there. I want my pieces to do that for you. 

Aside from working with clay, I can be found chasing around my 3 kiddos (all under 5!), reading a book, running, gardening, cooking, and giggling when my news anchor husband gets recognized in public. I love to create, to cook, be outside with my family, exercise, read all sorts of books and watch shows produced by Dick Wolf! 

Not a day goes by that I don't remain incredibly thankful for all that this space has brought me and blessed me with. Thank you for being here and a part of my small business journey. I am so proud to share this space with you.
